그럼 시작해볼게요 :)
endorse O, (수표 뒤에) 이서하다, 후원하다, 서포트하다, 보증하다. -> "내가 보증하다"의 개념
He endorsed the check on the other side. 수표 뒷면에 이서했다.
His license was endorsed for speeding. 과속 딱지 끊기다.
He had his license endorsed with eight penalty points. 8점의 벌점이 뒤로 올랐다.
I endorse their opinion. 그들의 의견을 지지하다.
Many celebrities endorsed the product. (the company) (회사광고에 출연한) 연예인들이 제품을 보증했다.
engage O to N, ~와 약혼하다.
She engaged herself to him. (She is engaged to him = They are engaged.)
engage O p + n, 고용했다. 쓰다의 느낌
He engaged himself in(on) writing novels. (He is engaged in(on) writing novels.)
He engaged a Korean girl as his secretary. 고용했다, 그의 비서로서 썼다.
He has engaged an entertainer for the party. 파티를 위해 entertainer을 고용했다.
enjoy O, enjoy는 목적어가 꼭 필요한 타동사입니다!!

S enlist (O), 자/타) 입대하다.
The army enlisted him.

그 밖에 join the army. 라고 써도 되며
반대로 제대하다는 finished military service. = be discharged from army. 쓸 수 있습니다.
en, in, im 이라는 접두사k '안으로 들이다' 라는 의미가 있다는걸 알아두시고 아래 동사패턴을 배워볼게요.^^
S enroll (O) p + n, roll이 출석부, 명부의 의미라. 출석부, 명부로 들이다 => 즉, 입학시키다 의미로 쓰입니다
They enrolled their son in the college. (on the list/ for the army)
=> 타동사로 쓰였기때문에 they가 목적어를 "입학시키다." 의 의미입니다.
He enrolled for the course. (in college/ in the art class/ in business school)
=> 자동사로 쓰일때는 타의가 아닌 자의로 "입학하다" 입니다.
entertain O with N (by ~ing), by 이하의 ~하면서 N에게 즐거움을 주다.
She entertained the guests with refreshments (with her stories)
He entertained himself by singing songs.
We were entertained by top singers and dancers.
entice O to V, 꼬시다. (구어체에서 많이 쓴다고합니다)
Advertising entices people to buy things.
He enticed her away from home (into the garden) ECM형태. 정원에 나오게 꼬시다.
The smell of the food was enticing. 냄새를 맡으니 군침이 돈다.
I was enticed by her smile. 그 여자가 웃어서 반했다.
entitle O to N (to V), 자격요건을 들이다. 딱딱하고 공식적인 말. 역시 ECM 동사로 쓰입니다.
The pass entitles you to enter the concert. 자격을 부여하다.
You will be entitled to your pension when you reach 65.
His book was entitled 'Beloved'.
equip O with N, with 이하로 목적어를 채우다
He is equipped with the skills necessary for the job.
The factory is equipped with the most modern machinery.
erase O, 지우다.
The names were erased from the computer disk. 컴퓨터 디스크에서 이름들이 지워졌다.
escape (from N), 자/타동사) 바깥으로 나가서 탈출하는 느낌.
The prisoner has escaped from jail. (get out of N) 죄수가 탈옥했다.
A lion has escaped from the zoo.
He managed to escape unhurt.
escape O, 모면하고, 피해가고, 벗어나는 느낌.
Her name escaped me for a moment. 깜빡 그여자 이름 생각이 안난다. 구어체)
He escaped serious injury/ the infection/ punishment/ being punished/ being drowned. (avoid)
큰 부상을 모면했다 / 감염에서 / 처벌에서 / 처벌에서 모면됐다.(수동태) / 익사를 면했다.
establish O, 딱딱하게 만들어 붙여넣는 느낌. => 설립하다
He established a company/ a university/ order/ criteria.
회사를 설림하다. / 대학교 / 질서, 정권, 순서, 명령 / 기준
Let's establish how much money to take. 돈을 얼마나 가져갈지 정하고 쓰자.(굳건하게 만드는 느낌)
금요일 Dale 선생님 시간에 첫 role play 가 시작되었습니다.
전 너무 깜짝 놀랐습니다+_+ 정말 다들 friends랑 너무 똑같이 따라서 말을하는데...... 정말 외국인이 말을 하는 것 같이 어쩜 다들 그렇게 잘하는지. 어떻게 하냐고 물어봤더니,, 그냥 많이 따라해보고, 듣고, 읽고 했다고 합니다...
저도 다음주에 곧 role play하게 되는데 다들 너무 잘해서.. 부담스러워요;;;
그리고 저녁에 welcome party 모임이 있었는데. 잘 모르는 Aviator 분들과 친해지는 시간이라 좋았습니다.^^
중간에 Dale 선생님, Paul 선생님도 오셨는데. Paul 선생님께서는 저희 Aviator 책 쓰시는 일때문에 바쁘셔서 먼저가셔서 아쉬웠지만. Dale 선생님께서 자리를 빛내주셔서 너무 좋았습니다. 마지막에 집에 간다고 인사드리니. 한 명 한 명 안아주시고, 집에 조심히 가라고 하시는데 >ㅡ< 정말 Dale 선생님의 따뜻한 마음이 느껴졌습니다.ㅎㅎㅎ
